Candled -Luxury LED Candles Made in Devon

Candles are a big ‘thing’ in my house.  All year round, any excuse, out they come.  This time of year comes a close second only to Christmas for lighting up.  The only problem I have is my husband is asthmatic and suffers sometimes from my over zealous lighting of scented candles.  Summer evenings in the garden are another favourite but can prove tricky with even a hint of wind.  I was therefore delighted to be contacted recently by a local Devon company, who specialise in bespoke hand crafted luxury LED Candles.

Candled, isn’t that a fab name! is based in Tavistock, Devon and is the invention of Justin Carey who developed the candle over two years of experimenting.  He wanted to produce the most realistic LED candle on the market.  Justin wanted his candles to be the most realistic in colour, texture, flicker and flame.  He has certainly achieved his aim.

Candled offer a selection of taper and pillar candles in various sizes.  I received the 6″ pillar.  I was very keen to open the box to firstly discover how it looked, I wasn’t disappointed.  The candles are made using Candled’s own blend of quality real wax which also has a handcrafted clear reflective molten pool around the wick.  It’s incredibly lifelike and really is a beautiful candle when lit.

Although I love candles around my home, I am always concerned about the safety aspect.  So to have such a beautifully realistic candle that I can safely leave, is a massive plus in my book.  There are no risks involved at all with these candles and they are operated by a slimline remote control that can operate up to a 10 metre range.  There are four brightness settings, a flicker rate and even a timer function!  In a houseful of gadget men, we have had great fun finding the setting we each prefer.

Candled pride themselves on being a luxury, family brand working from the heart of Devon in England.  Therefore you may consider their candles to be out of your price range ( mine retails for £52.95)  but, I honestly feel the price of their candles represents great value for money.  The LED technology in each candle will typically last in excess of 50,000 hours.  When you take into account that most pillar candles have about a 120 – 140 hour burn time, this represents great value for money and more importantly is totally safe to leave unattended.

Candled are currently offering 5 – 10% discount on multiple buys of their candles.  Do pop over to their website for a browse.  CANDLED  These would also make wonderful gifts for a special friend or family member.

Have to admit it does look realistic. That burn time is attractive too. One for my Christmas list for sure. x

I’ve spent quite some time looking for realistic faux candles since we had kids. I love the glow and flicker of candles but with two little ones running around it’s far too dangerous. Plus as an asthmatic I often find it a bit difficult to breathe after I’ve been burning candles for a few hours, not sure why. I stumbled across Candled in my search and I was so impressed by how authentic they look. I can’t wait to try them out.

Gosh, am amazed how realistic that looks! Much safer to leave lit unattended around the house. Well done to Candled.
